The Exploratorium has announced the return of its pay-what-you-can admission for Mother’s Day 2026 in honor of moms and grandmas. If you like science and are looking for a free or budget friendly San Francisco Mother’s Day activity this year, you have to check it out!

This year’s celebration will feature a Latin American flair, which feels especially fitting since American Mother’s Day falls on Mexican Mother’s Day (May 10) this year.

The Exploratorium will host craft stations where kids can make paper flowers and Mother’s Day cards, along with story time and live performances celebrating Hispanic culture, including traditional Mexican dance and salsa music.
